Deleting your PnL. account is permanent and irreversible. Once deletion is complete, you will not be able to recover your data or reuse the same login credentials without creating a new account.
Important: Export or back up your trade data before requesting deletion. Once your account is deleted, all associated cloud data is permanently removed and cannot be restored.
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the PnL. app:
- Open the PnL. app on your device.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom navigation bar).
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation prompt and tap Confirm Delete.
- If prompted, re-authenticate with your email/password or Google account to verify your identity.
Your account and all cloud-stored data will be queued for immediate deletion.
If you are unable to access the app, you can submit a deletion request by email:
- Send an email to chandranappdeveloper@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request — PnL.
- Include the email address registered with your PnL. account.
- We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email once complete.
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Firebase Authentication account — your email, password hash, and Google Sign-In link.
- Cloud backup (Firestore) — all trade records stored under your user ID, including symbol, direction, quantity, entry/exit prices, P&L, strategy, emotion, and comments.
- Profile information — display name and any profile photo stored in the cloud.
- App settings backup — currency preference, discipline rules, strategies list, and assets list stored in Firestore.
The following data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:
- Local device data — Trade data and settings stored in the SQLite database on your device are not automatically deleted when you delete your account. To remove on-device data, uninstall the PnL. app after account deletion.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — Anonymised crash logs may be retained for up to 90 days as required for app stability analysis. These logs do not contain personally identifiable information.
- Aggregated analytics — Firebase Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised; it is not linked to your account after deletion and may be retained per Google's standard retention policy.
- Legal or compliance records — We may retain minimal records (e.g., deletion confirmation) for up to 5 years where required by applicable Indian law.
If you used PnL. in Guest Mode, no account was created on our servers. All your data is stored only on your device. To remove it, simply uninstall the PnL. app from your device. No email request is required.
