Delete Your Data

PnL. gives you control over your data. You can delete specific types of data — such as your trade history or cloud backup — without deleting your account. Your account and login credentials remain active so you can continue using the app.

If you want to close your account entirely, see the Delete Account page instead.

To permanently delete all your trade records from the app:

• Open the PnL. app.
• Go to the Profile tab.
• Tap Settings → Manage Data.
• Select Clear All Trades and confirm.

This deletes all trade data from the local SQLite database on your device. If you have a cloud backup, the backup is not automatically removed — follow the steps below to delete the cloud backup separately.

Retention: Deleted immediately. No retention period.

Your optional cloud backup (stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your user ID) can be deleted separately:

• Open the PnL. app.
• Go to the Profile tab.
• Tap Cloud Backup.
• Select Delete Cloud Backup and confirm.

This permanently removes all trade records and settings stored in Firestore under your account. Your local on-device data is unaffected.

Retention: Deleted immediately from Firestore. No retention period.

To reset your app preferences (currency, discipline rules, strategies list, asset classes) to defaults:

• Open the PnL. app.
• Go to Profile → Settings → Reset Settings.
• Confirm the reset.

This clears all stored preferences from the local database and GetStorage. It does not delete your trade history or cloud backup.

If you cannot access the app or need assistance deleting a specific type of data, contact us by email:

• Subject: Data Deletion Request — PnL.
• Include your registered email address and the specific data you want deleted (e.g., trade history, cloud backup, profile photo).
• We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email.

Data deleted upon your request:

• Trade records (symbol, direction, quantity, prices, P&L, strategy, emotion, comments, dates)
• Cloud backup files stored in Google Firestore under your user ID
• Profile photo (if uploaded)
• Custom strategies list and asset classes
• Discipline rule settings stored in the cloud

Data that may be retained after deletion:

• Local device data — Data stored in the SQLite database on your device is separate from cloud data. Delete it via the app or uninstall PnL. to remove it.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — Anonymised logs retained for up to 90 days. Not linked to your identity after deletion.
• Aggregated analytics (Firebase Analytics) — Anonymised usage metrics not linked to your account, retained per Google's standard policy.
• Legal records — Deletion confirmation records may be kept for up to 5 years as required by applicable Indian law.

If you use PnL. in Guest Mode, all data is stored locally on your device only — no cloud backup is created. To delete all data, simply uninstall the PnL. app. No email request is needed.
